Ashton Powers is a doll; literally and figuratively speaking. Hang out with her on a shoot and you will know what I am talking about. Easy going, funny, fabulous music taste (see below), and where do I even begin to talk about how well she moves in front of the camera. This girl knows her angles and how much those slight little movements can make a world of a difference. At 16, Ashton has already worked for names like Givenchy and Chanel. We asked Ashton to tell us about some of her favorite jobs and places she has worked, here is what she told us, ” My favorite job in New York was a video shoot for a designer’s show in NYC Fashion Week. My favorite job in Hong Kong was shooting for GQ Magazine China. The styling was amazing and everyone was really laid back and having a good time. I love shoots like that! I walked for the first time in Shanghai Fashion Week. The runway was really cool. All of the models wore cameras on their arms and the audience could see our view of the runway on the big screens behind us. My favorite place that I’ve traveled to is Hong Kong. Not just because I got to work for clients like Chanel and Gucci but I fell in love with the city! It was pretty much like New York but with tropical beaches and beautiful mountains. :) Everyone there was super nice and I met a lot of amazing and creative people. I would love to go back there one day.”
1. Re: Modeling, if you were to name your signature pose or look, what would yours be?
I try to change my expressions and make it my own based on what the style of the shoot is. I do have a habit of always leaving my mouth open a little in all of my pictures. haha
2. One item you cannot live without?
My ipod!! Music is what inspires and motivates me. When I’m traveling, my ipod really helps me relax. It’s the first thing I think to take with me everywhere I go.
3. In fashion, name one rule you live by?
Be confident in yourself 
4. If you had to listen to one band or artist for the rest of your life, who would you choose?
Oh gosh…that’s a tough question. I guess Radiohead. My taste in music is really broad and it changes a lot but I don’t think I would ever get tired of listening to anything from them.
