Meet the beautiful Callen Wallace. Though Callen currently lives in Memphis, she is signed with Nathalie in Paris where she worked with Grazia and Galleries Lafayette. Our September MOTM is a true beauty.
 
Re: Modeling, If you were to name your signature pose or look, what would yours be?
My signature modeling look I think is all black. I know it doesn’t seem original but I just love how black tights, black dress and black sky high heels look on models! I always have fun adding accessories, like a jacket or scarf for walking around on jobs or on the way to castings.
One item you cannot live without?
My lifeline to my friends and family (and all the other stuff); my phone.
 
In fashion, name one rule you live by?
Confidence! I love the girls who are confident enough in themselves/ their own style that they don’t feel like they have to be rude to others. I try and treat everyone the way I’d hope to be treated, and stick to the saying “Pretty is as Pretty does.”
If you had to listen to one band or artist for the rest of your life, who would you choose?
That’s always the hardest question because I love so many different types of music-classic rock n’ roll, pop and alternative, depending on my mood-but I love the Head and the Heart because it’s relaxing and the lyrics are so different!

One of the most important things to think about when shooting is having expression in your eyes. I would definitely say having sassy eyes will pull together any pose or look.

2. One item you cannot live without?
I would die if I didn’t have my Rebecca Minkoff crossbody bag with me at all times!

3. In fashion, name one rule you live by?
Wear what you like and what makes you happy, don’t dress for others.

4. If you had to listen to one band or artist for the rest of your life, who would you choose?
I could name a hundred artists I love off the top of my head, but Keegan Dewitt and Alex Clare are tied at number one on my playlist right now.

I carry around a little notebook with me where I write down everything I want to accomplish.  It keeps me on track, I couldn’t live without it.

3. In fashion, name one rule you live by?
Taking chances is great, but if you’re not comfortable it’ll show, no matter how awesome the outfit.

 4. If you had to listen to one band or artist for the rest of your life, who would you choose?
The Dig.  Their music is interesting, and more down to earth than any band I’ve heard in a long time.

Len Burton

Len is the guy who walks in the room and is just cool; with every essence of the word.  His Style, his demeanor, and the way he talks… you just know the boy is rad.  Did we mention his heart of gold and southern charm as well?  Len rocked this summer’s ad campaign for American Eagle.  Keep an eye out for this one… we have no doubt he is going places.

1. Re: Modeling, If you were to name your signature pose or look, what would yours be?

“The Who Me?????” I just kind of stand there and look bewildered and shocked like I just won an award that I didn’t even know I was nominated for. Very Taylor Swift like or “This is me” this is where my job gets complicated. I just stand there and try to gaze into the camera’s lense. It’s hard and overwhelming at times….really it is.

2. One item you cannot live without?

I started taken Omega 3-6-9 oils a few months ago and they pretty much work miracles for your skin. So I don’t see me running out of these things for a while.

3. In fashion, name one rule you live by?

“If you have style you can do what you want, if not just stick to the rules.”

4. If you had to listen to one band or artist for the rest of your life, who would you choose?

Kanye West. His music is always evolving album to album so I could never get tired of him as an artist.

Leona Walton

There are not enough wonderful things to say about Leona Walton.  Hard work and determination run through her veins.  Leona is ready to take the industry by storm and we are ready to make it happen for her.  She is the girl you are just dying to see make it, and you just know she will.  Not only does she have the undeniable look, but this girl has the talent, heart, strength and tenacity to absolutely kill it.

I would say my favorite pose would be the “what’s over there” look. It really gets me far.

2. One item you cannot live without?

You have to have a gps so you can get from place to place and not get lost

1 rule to live by is always have respect, no matter what goes on.

Laura Hanson Sims

If you were to name your signature pose or look, what would yours be?

I love looking like a porcelain doll with my skin and my body. Ballet has taught me how to move my body and has made me more aware of my movement.

One item you cannot live without?

Sunscreen or I would actually have to live in a room with no windows

 

In fashion, name one rule you live by?

Simplicity is beauty and black is always in.

 

 

If you had to listen to one band or artist for the rest of your life, who would you choose?

I love Florence + The Machine. She’s a fellow ginger, has the coolest vibe, and has got some major pipes.

And also tell me about one or two of your favorite jobs you’ve done.

I loved my shoot for Foam magazine since it was an all nighter, I met some awesome people, and I got to run around LA at night and eat ice cream!

August – Ashton Powers

Ashton Powers is a doll; literally and figuratively speaking.  Hang out with her on a shoot and you will know what I am talking about.  Easy going, funny, fabulous music taste (see below), and where do I even begin to talk about how well she moves in front of the camera.  This girl knows her angles and how much those slight little movements can make a world of a difference.  At 16, Ashton has already worked for names like Givenchy and Chanel.  We asked Ashton to tell us about some of her favorite jobs and places she has worked, here is what she told us, ” My favorite job in New York was a video shoot for a designer’s show in NYC Fashion Week.   My favorite job in Hong Kong was shooting for GQ Magazine China.  The styling was amazing and everyone was really laid back and having a good time.  I love shoots like that! I walked for the first time in Shanghai Fashion Week.  The runway was really cool.  All of the models wore cameras on their arms and the audience could see our view of the runway on the big screens behind us.  My favorite place that I’ve traveled to is Hong Kong.  Not just because I got to work for clients like Chanel and Gucci but I fell in love with the city! It was pretty much like New York but with tropical beaches and beautiful mountains. :)  Everyone there was super nice and I met a lot of amazing and creative people.  I would love to go back there one day.”

I try to change my expressions and make it my own based on what the style of the shoot is.  I do have a habit of always leaving my mouth open a little in all of my pictures.  haha


2. One item you cannot live without?
My ipod!! Music is what inspires and motivates me.  When I’m traveling, my ipod really helps me relax.  It’s the first thing I think to take with me everywhere I go.

3. In fashion, name one rule you live by?
Be confident in yourself  :)


4. If you had to listen to one band or artist for the rest of your life, who would you choose?
Oh gosh…that’s a tough question.  I guess Radiohead.  My taste in music is really broad and it changes a lot but I don’t think I would ever get tired of listening to anything from them.

June – Rachel Ruff

Rachel Ruff is one of those girls you just know will go far in this business.  Rachel is one of our most traveled girls (her mother agency is Eye Model Management).  Most recently her travels have led her to Tokyo, Bangkok, Paris, Milan, and Hong Kong. When asked what one of her favorite jobs has been she tells us, “Tokyo Girl Collection runway show.  I ended up doing the show with several friends, and we had the best time. The brand I walked for was Lily and Betty..and her vision for the collection was ‘Malibu Barbie’. They ended up having to spray tan me more than 8 times because I was/am so pale! The show was massive..more than 30,000 people in attendance…definitely the biggest show I have ever walked in.” She is back in the states now and is ready to tackle NYC.  From the Runway to editorials, this girl books jobs like it nobody’s business.  She is definitely one to keep an eye on as her amazing career continues to grow.

Well,quite a few photographers/stylists/Makeup &hair artists at the end of a shoot are comparing me to a chameleon. I enjoy playing a different character and conveying a different look each shoot.

My Blackberry!

3. In fashion, name one rule you live by?
There are no set rules. Wear what you want and wear it with confidence!

4. If you had to listen to one band or artist for the rest of your life, who would you choose?
Cat Stevens and The Mamas and The Papas.

The rumors are true; Matt Mckinney is as charming as he looks.  He walks in a room and brings an energy and enthusiasm that is simply contagious.  Matt’s smile is bright and his intelligence is inspiring.  He is business minded when it comes to the industry of Fashion and understands there is more to modeling, than well, modeling.  However, when it does come to capturing a perfect picture, Matt nails it every single time.  Right now, Matt can be seen in German Glamour, Pacsun ads, 7 For All Mankind and also ads for AG Jeans.  We strongly believe Matt has a long career ahead of him.
